An armed robbery took place in Carmel Valley at 3810 Valley Center Road. 2 African-American Males went up to a 17-year-old, who was sitting in his car in Carmel Valley. One put a gun into the kid's chest so hard, it left a mark., They stole his Cell Phone and car keys. The kid also saw two Asian males, also with guns. A good samaritan took a photo of the getaway car and gave a description of the suspect’s vehicle to PD, and followed it south on the I-5 until the SDPD ABLE helicopter spotted the suspects heading south on the I-5 and then east on the I-8. The pursuit ended on the southbound SR 125 between Lemon Ave and Spring St, with over 20 law enforcement officers (mainly the CHP) and SDPD’s ABLE helicopter overhead stopping the suspects. There were seven (7) suspects in the car and they all surrendered without further incident. The SR 125 SB was brought to a standstill for approx 20 minutes, backing up traffic on the I-8.
